Javiera Shooaie Decap is a Chilean-Iranian, born and raised in Norway, and a fashion graduate at the Royal College of Art (2024) and London College of Fashion (2022). Their practice centres on examining the collective interaction between materials, surroundings, and bodily senses. In their design approach, they frequently incorporate somaesthetic philosophy, aiming to create a distortion between the garments and the wearer by integrating different elements.

Clothes, being among the most intimate artefacts with which we humans engage with, possess the capacity to transcend social constructs, including gender and politics, and establish connections with our biology and nature.
